PATERSON, N.J. (AP) - Police are investigating after a New Jersey man was found shot to death in a backyard on Monday morning.

Paterson police say 20-year-old Dante Whyte was found around 8 a.m. after a resident alerted police. The Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office says Whyte had multiple gunshot wounds.

The investigation was still ongoing Tuesday. Police are investigating the shooting as a suspected homicide.



Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to contact the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office.
