PHILADELPHIA (AP) - Philadelphia police say robbery is the likely motive for a shooting that left a man dead outside his car while his young daughter was sitting inside.

Police say the 38-year-old man was confronted by two men Thursday night in the city’s Spring Garden section and shot in the face at close range. They say his wallet was taken.

The man’s daughter was inside the car at the time. Police say she is now with her mother.

Police are searching for two suspects in their late teens or early 20s. It’s not clear if they knew the deceased man.
