CHARLES CITY, Iowa (AP) - A man accused of killing another man in Charles City this summer is asking for his trial to be moved out of Floyd County.

Mason City television station KIMT reported Friday that 36-year-old Antoine Tyree Williams, of Charles city, filed for a change of venue on Aug. 24, arguing that extensive media coverage of the case has left him unable to get a fair trial in Floyd County. A judge is considering the motion.

Williams is charged with first-degree murder for the June 30 shooting death of 36-year-old Nathaniel Fleming.

Police say Williams shot Fleming, of Mason City, several times before pulling Fleming out of a vehicle and fleeing the scene.
