MACON, Ga. (AP) - A shooting at a house party in Macon’s Unionville neighborhood has left one woman dead and another in custody.

Bibb County Coroner Leon Jones says 26-year-old Talshia Taylor was wounded about 3:45 a.m. Saturday. She was pronounced dead about 30 minutes later.

The Telegraph reports Taylor had been at the party when the sheriff’s office says “someone began firing shots outside the residence.” Jones says Taylor was shot at least once and there were “multiple shell casings at the scene.”

Charged with felony murder and aggravated assault is 25-year-old Tequilla Brown. Jail records did not indicate if she’s represented by an attorney.

Authorities say Taylor’s death marks the county’s 19th homicide this year.

Anyone with information about the shooting is urged to call Macon Regional Crimestoppers at 1-877-68-CRIME.
