LOWER TOWNSHIP, N.J. (AP) - Authorities say a man is awaiting extradition in Philadelphia back to New Jersey to face charges in the shooting death of a woman whose two young children were missing from the home but were later found safe.

Police officers in Cape May County found 22-year-old Destiny Rollar with a gunshot wound to the head Wednesday in her Lower Township home. She was later pronounced dead at a hospital. Authorities said the woman’s two young daughters were missing from the home.

Authorities said Thursday they found her boyfriend in a Philadelphia hospital with a gunshot wound. The couple’s two young daughters were found safe at a relative’s house.

Twenty-five-year-old Charles Bland is charged with murder, aggravated assault, hindering apprehension and a weapons charge; it’s unclear whether he has an attorney.
