CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) - Police have identified the victim and the suspect in a fatal stabbing in a Cheyenne park earlier this week.
Cheyenne police say 46-year-old Tanya Pearson was arrested on suspicion of homicide in the death of 45-year-old Jennifer Pratt on Monday.
Officer Kevin Malatesta says the women got into an argument Monday afternoon and someone brought out a knife. Pratt was stabbed and died at the scene.
Malatesta tells KTWO-AM the women knew each other, but he didn’t know what they were arguing about.
Pearson is being held in the Laramie County jail awaiting formal charges. Jail records don’t indicate if she has an attorney. She does not yet have a court date.
