ABERDEEN, Md. (AP) - State troopers say a Maryland highway rest stop is safe after a “suspicious package” was discovered outside.
WBAL-TV reports the Maryland House along Interstate 95 in Harford County was evacuated Thursday evening after the package was reported shortly after 4:30 p.m. It was declared safe roughly three hours later.
In a tweet, state police said both ramps to the rest stop facility had been shut down.
Troopers did not immediately disclose any other specifics about the package. No injuries have been reported.
