TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) - Pima County Sheriff’s officials say a homeowner has been found dead on Tucson’s northeast side and they’re investigating the case as a homicide.
They say deputies were called to a Catalina Foothills home Thursday morning to do a welfare check.
Associates of the homeowner were concerned because he hadn’t been seen for a few days.
Deputies say the found the house’s door open and a man was discovered dead inside the home with obvious signs of trauma.
Sheriff’s officials say homicide detectives now have identified the body as that of 71-year-old Robert Belman.
They say Belman’s truck is missing from his home and they’re searching for the vehicle plus suspects in the homicide case.
