Teen charged in oil well site shooting

WILLISTON, N.D. (AP) - An 18-year-old man has been charged in a shooting at an oil well site near Williston.

Gage Cox is charged with conspiracy to commit criminal mischief, a felony. Police say Cox used a semi-automatic rifle that he had stolen from a truck in Williston to shoot a power supply box and two oil tanks at a Statoil well site last August.

The Bismarck Tribune says Cox is also accused of breaking into a Williston apartment with two others in August and stealing purses and credit cards. It was not immediately clear if Cox has hired an attorney.
