ADAMSVILLE, Ala. (AP) - Alabama authorities are investigating a shootout at a park that left one person hospitalized.

The Birmingham News reports that two people have been taken into custody following the Friday night shooting in the town of Adamsville, near Birmingham. A third person was being sought Saturday.

Adamsville Police Chief Warren Cotton said the initial investigation indicates at least four men may have been involved in a drug deal when they began shooting at each other.

Cotton said one man was struck multiple times and taken to UAB Hospital. He was is in stable condition,

Jefferson County sheriff’s deputies responded to assist. Cotton said their tracking dogs led officers and deputies to two suspects in a house near the shooting scene.
