TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) - Pima County sheriff’s officials say an arrest has been made in the killing of a Tucson-area homeowner found dead in his home on the city’s northeast side.

The Sheriff’s Department says 34-year-old Frank Eugene Martinez Jr. was arrested Friday on suspicion of first-degree murder, kidnapping, second-degree burglary and unlawful use of means of transportation in the killing of 71-year-old Robert Belman.

Belman’s truck was missing when deputies making a welfare check found him dead Thursday, but sheriff’s officials say the truck was found along with Martinez.

Deputies checked on Belman because he hadn’t been seen for a few days.

It’s not known whether Martinez has an attorney who could comment on the allegations.
