LOS ANGELES (AP) - Motorists should expect overnight delays as Interstate 5 is reduced to just one lane in each direction during repairs southeast of Los Angeles.
Caltrans said Sunday that a widening project in the Downey area will take place during late-night and pre-dawn hours, possibly through Wednesday morning.
City News Service reports a section of the key north-south route is being elevated and doubled in size between the Interstate 605 and State Route 91. It’s part of a nearly $2 billion improvement project.
