DECATUR, Ga. (AP) - Authorities say a tractor-trailer hit an Atlanta-area school bus, slightly injuring eight students.

DeKalb County Schools spokeswoman Traci Jennings tells news outlets the bus had stopped on Interstate 285 on Monday afternoon and was rear-ended by the truck. Nineteen students from Cedar Grove Middle School and Champion Theme School were aboard the bus.

DeKalb County Fire and Rescue Capt. Eric Jackson says the injuries suffered were minor, but some parents opted to take their children to the hospital. DeKalb County Schools spokeswoman Eileen Houston-Stewart says one child was taken to a children’s hospital.

The crash remains under investigation, and it’s yet unclear if anyone will be charged.
