LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) - Kentucky will play in the Bahamas for the first time since 2014 during an eight-day August trip featuring four games against professional teams.

The Wildcats will arrive Aug. 6 at Atlantis on Paradise Island to train before facing the Bahamas’ national team and San Lorenzo de Almagra on Aug. 8-9 respectively. They will also play Mega Bemax and Team Toronto on Aug. 11-12. It will mark their first preseason foreign trip since going 5-1 in the islands before winning their first 38 games and reaching the Final Four.

Kentucky coach John Calipari is trying to fill his roster but said in a release Tuesday that taking another young squad to practice and play pro teams in the Bahamas “will give our guys an early idea of how hard this is going to be.”
