CONCORD, N.H. (AP) - The New Hampshire Fish and Game Department will hold a public meeting on the importance of wildlife corridors, habitat links for fish passage and animals.
The meeting on May 3 at the department’s headquarters in Concord will discuss how New Hampshire can create and maintain wildlife corridors through easements and cooperative management agreements.
The department says connectivity between wildlife habitats is important to the long-term viability of the state’s biodiversity. Preserving and connecting wildlife habitats can create habitat strongholds.
The department is seeking comments, feedback and additional recommendations on how New Hampshire can create and maintain wildlife corridors.
