BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) - Six North Dakota Army National Guard aviators who will serve about nine months overseas are being honored.
A pre-deployment public open house is scheduled Friday in Bismarck for the members of Detachment 7, Company C, 2nd Battalion, 245th Aviation Regiment of Operational Airlift Support.
The aviators will serve in the Horn of Africa, operating aircraft transporting cargo and personnel. They’ll leave sometime next month for final training at Fort Bliss, Texas.
The open house is from 4-5 p.m. Friday at the Army Aviation Support Facility south of the Bismarck airport.
