Broward Sheriff’s spokeswoman Joy Oglesby tells news outlets that Nola Hazlett of Ambler, Pennsylvania, was found floating in the pool on Aug. 15. Paramedics took the child to the hospital, where she died Tuesday.

Oglesby says an investigation is underway.

The child and her family were visiting Pompano Beach, which is north of Fort Lauderdale.
