HELENA, Mont. (AP) - A 77-year-old Montana woman was killed after being hit by a car while crossing a road in the state’s capital city.

The Helena Police Department said the woman was hit while walking across the road with two other people Friday night at about 8 p.m. The victim was transported to a hospital where she later died.

No citations were immediately issued to the 37-year-old driver but the investigation was ongoing. The victim’s name has not been released.
