MANCHESTER, N.H. (AP) - Officials say four firefighters who were injured while battling a blaze in New Hampshire are back on the job.

The fire broke out at an unoccupied single-family home in Manchester on Sunday.

Firefighters went in the home. A flashover of flames forced them to quickly evacuate.

Firefighter Tom Defina tells WMUR-TV he was on the second floor, searching for the wall with his hand to get oriented, when he leaned on a door, leading to a powerful backdraft. He said there was a giant fireball, followed by screaming, and “‘Get out.’” He said his partner pulled him out and they went tumbling down the stairs.

Three of the firefighters were hospitalized with burns and lacerations, and one was treated at the scene.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
