BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) - An ocelot kitten born at the Buffalo Zoo earlier this year will make her public debut this weekend.

The zoo plans to introduce an ocelot kitten named Amara on Saturday during its Rainforest Falls Day celebration. The cat was born to mother Ayla and father Pedro on Sept. 25. She is the pair’s third kitten.

Zoo officials say Amara’s name is of German origin and means “steadfast” and “immortal.”
