WHITE RIVER JUNCTION, Vt. (AP) - A Vermont man who kidnapped another man, forced him to break into a home and struck him with an SUV has been sentenced to up to four years in prison.

The Valley News reports 32-year-old Tyler Marston, of Newport, was sentenced after pleading no contest to gross negligent operation of a motor vehicle with serious injury resulting. Marston also pleaded guilty to leaving the scene of the crash and driving with a suspended license. As part of a plea agreement, other charges were dropped.

Police say Marston and another man picked up Alexander Jillson-Corbosiero to smoke marijuana. Authorities say the men drove to Okemo Mountain Resort and forced the victim to burglarize a home at gunpoint. Police say the pair struck Corbosiero with their SUV before leaving.
