FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (AP) - Authorities have arrested a man suspected of raping a woman in a North Carolina park nearly three decades ago.

The Fayetteville Police Department said in a statement Thursday that DNA recovered from the crime scene in late 2017 linked 54-year-old Wilbur D. McGill to the November 1990 rape.

The Herald-Sun reports that the victim was with her 1-year-old child at a park when a man attacked and raped her before stealing her car.
