VICKSBURG, Miss. (AP) - A Mississippi man pinned under a house trailer that collapsed has died.
News outlets report 56-year-old Frederick Ross of Port Gibson died after the trailer collapsed on him Wednesday.
Warren County Sheriff Martin Pace says 911 Dispatch received a call that a man was trapped under a trailer. Units responded to help extricate Ross from underneath the trailer. A coroner pronounced him dead at the scene.
The sheriff says Ross and several other people were setting up the house trailer at a deer camp when it slipped off a set of blocks. Ross was working under the house trailer and was pinned.
An investigation is ongoing, but authorities say there’s no reason to believe foul play is involved.
