A survivor of the Las Vegas mass shooting last year said he does not agree with a ban on assault weapons, in an interview with CBS News that aired Wednesday.
“I’m open to ideas to fix the problems that we have,” said Toby Clark, a survivor of the shooting a the Route 91 country music festival that left 58 people dead.
“But when people want to ban something just because someone did something wrong with it, I don’t think that’s helping the issue at all,” he said.
Mr. Clark said he is a gun owner, including what he described as “assault weapons,” and said he the attack did not change his previous position on gun laws.
The shooting last November is the deadliest in U.S. history.
