BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) - Several buildings on Louisiana State University’s main campus in Baton Rouge are heating up due to air conditioning problems.

School officials say a fix could take anywhere from a few days to a couple of weeks.

The school Thursday night said in a statement that the system was operating at 32 percent of its normal capacity, and was unable to cool many campus buildings.

School officials said the outage is equivalent to the loss of about 2,800 residential air conditioning units.

The LSU Emergency Operations Center said workers are trying to fix the problem.
