BENNINGTON, Vt. (AP) - Police in Vermont say a driver struck a house and a mobile home before he was arrested on a drunken driving charge.

The Bennington Banner reports authorities responding to a report of a vehicle that had crashed into a house in Bennington on Thursday found 30-year-old Christopher Cummings, of Lake Lazurne, New York.

Police say Cummings struck a house and a mobile home. Officials say the house suffered minor damage, but the mobile home was deemed uninhabitable. It was vacant.

Authorities say Cummings wasn’t hurt.

Cummings faces charges of driving under the influence for a third or subsequent offense and gross negligent operation. A hearing is scheduled for March 19. It wasn’t immediately known if he had a lawyer; a phone number couldn’t be found for him.
