WASHINGTON (AP) - Rodney Bullock had 19 points with five 3-pointers and Providence beat Georgetown for the eighth straight time, 74-69 on Saturday.

Alpha Diallo made a tough layup with 42 seconds left to extend Providence’s lead to 72-69 but missed a chance at a 3-point play. After the Hoyas came up empty on their offensive end, Bullock was fouled at 12.6 and made both free throws to seal it.

Kyron Cartwright added 16 points, Diallo 14 and each player dished out nine assists for Providence (18-11, 9-7 Big East).

Cartwright made back-to-back 3-pointers to start a 10-0 run for a 51-46 lead midway through the second half.

Jessie Govan and Marcus Derrickson each had a double-double for Georgetown (15-12, 5-11). Govan had 20 points and 11 rebounds to surpass 1,000 points in his career and Derrickson added 11 points and 15 boards.
