PASADENA, Md. (AP) - Police in Maryland say an officer was injured when a driver rammed his cruiser after he conducted a traffic stop.

Anne Arundel County Police say in a news release that the officer stopped the car in a parking lot in Pasadena about 7:40 p.m. Sunday.

Police say when the officer asked the driver to get out of her car, she onto a dead-end street.

Officials say the officer was getting out of his patrol vehicle when the driver rammed the cruiser. Police say the cruiser’s door hit the officer in the face and mouth.

The car drove off, but stopped because of damage to the vehicle.

The officer was treated and released.

The driver, 33-year-old Christina Hall, was charged with assault, driving under the influence, and other offenses.
