Police: Person shot during attempted robbery

BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) - Authorities say someone was shot during an attempted robbery in Louisiana.

Baton Rouge police spokesman Sgt. L’Jean McKneely tells The Advocate that the person was shot in the face but is expected to survive.

News outlets report that the person was shot during an attempted robbery Tuesday evening. The victim’s identity has not been released.

McKneely says it’s unclear whether the injured person was the victim or the aggressor in the attempted robbery.
