NASHUA, N.H. (AP) - A New Hampshire woman who admitted to breaking into a 92-year-old man’s home, restraining him with duct tape and robbing him has been sentenced to 10 years in prison.

Prosecutors say 51-year-old Maryanne Jacobsmeyer chose the 92-year-old victim randomly because of his age. WMUR-TV reports Jacobsmeyer was sentenced Wednesday in court in Nashua after pleading guilty to seven charges including armed robbery and burglary.

Authorities say she stole the victim’s car and made charges on his credit card before she was arrested.

The victim’s sons were in court, but they had no comment. Jacobsmeyer’s attorney says she is sorry for what happened.
