Man found dead along bike path in suburban LA County

MONTEBELLO, Calif. (AP) - Police are searching for suspects after a man was found dead along a bike path in suburban Los Angeles County.

Authorities say the body was discovered around 1:30 a.m. Wednesday near the Rio Hondo channel in Montebello.

The victim, a man in his 30s, has not been identified.

KABC-TV reports police say the body had trauma to the head, and there is evidence that a shooting took place. But officials could not immediately confirm whether the head wound was from a gunshot.
