CENTRE, Ala. (AP) - An Alabama man who authorities say dragged a sheriff’s deputy with his vehicle was shot with both a stun gun and a firearm.
AL.com reports Cherokee County Sheriff Jeff Shaver says a deputy had reached into 42-year-old Brett Littlejohn’s vehicle to arrest him on an outstanding warrant during a traffic stop Wednesday. Littlejohn tried to drive off, as the deputy dangled from the window.
After several hundred feet, the deputy used a stun gun on the suspect three times, which authorities said had no effect. The deputy then fired his gun at Littlejohn to stop the vehicle.
