ROCKVILLE, Md. (AP) - One of the suspects in the killings of two teens found dead in a car in the Maryland suburbs of Washington the night before their high school graduation has been found guilty.
Local media report 26-year-old Jose Canales-Yanez was convicted on charges including two counts of first-degree murder Thursday.
Prosecutors described the slayings of Shadi Najjar and Artem Ziberov as a revenge killing. They said Najjar had stolen marijuana from Canales-Yanez’s wife.

Authorities have said the teens drove to a Montgomery County neighborhood expecting to meet someone who wanted to buy a commencement ticket. Instead, they were both shot multiple times.
WTOP reports prosecutors could seek life without the possibility of parole at Canales-Yanez’s sentencing, which is set for March 28. He is being held without bond.
Three other men have also been charged in the slayings.
