NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Police in Nashville say an officer was injured after his patrol car was struck by a vehicle whose driver was charged with drunken driving.

The Metropolitan Nashville Police Department says in a news release that officer Tyler Manivong was assisting another officer who was towing a vehicle on Interstate 40. The statement says Manivong was sitting in his vehicle along the side of the interstate when it was struck early Sunday.

Manivong was treated at a hospital and released. The statement says 22-year-old Tyler Kelley of Columbia, Tennessee, was charged with second offense DUI.
