SHREVEPORT, La. (AP) - Louisiana investigators are trying to identify a man whose pajama-clad body was found on a road next to a bicycle, about 3:45 a.m.

Caddo Parish Sheriff’s spokeswoman Cindy Chadwick says the man was wearing red pajama pants, a camouflage shirt and brown work boots.

She says he had a head wound, but the coroner will determine how he was wounded and whether it caused his death.

He was white, in his late 40s to early 50s, and bald with a brown goatee. As of midday a national fingerprint database hadn’t identified him.

Chadwick says a sheriff’s deputy found the body Monday just south of Shreveport, alongside a black, white and red Giant-brand bicycle.

The sheriff’s office is asking anyone with information about the man to call.
