RENO, Nev. (AP) - Reno police say a motorcyclist died after crashing into an ambulance.

The Reno Gazette-Journal reports a 50-year-old motorcyclist collided with the ambulance late Saturday morning as the vehicle was responding to a call.

The rider was rushed to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

As of Sunday, police have not identified the motorcyclist.

The Reno Police Department’s Major Accident Investigation Team responded to investigate the crash.

The investigation is ongoing, but the team says speed and impairment do not seem to be factors in the crash.
