CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) - A Wyoming judge has sentenced a 58-year-old transient who killed a 21-year-old woman in the basement of a Cheyenne restaurant last summer to 50 years to life in prison.
Emigdio Lara Sr. was sentenced Friday by District Judge Catherine Rogers.
Lara had pleaded guilty last August to second-degree murder in the killing of Victoria Juarez, whose body was found in the basement of a south Cheyenne restaurant on June 26. She had cuts on her body and multiple injuries to the back of her head.
