GREENSBORO, N.C. (AP) - Police have identified a man who died after being shot on a road in North Carolina.
Greensboro police spokeswoman Susan Danielsen said investigators got conflicting information about the man who was found with several gunshot wounds Friday.
Forensics experts confirmed the victim was 24-year-old Justin Lynn Alspaugh of Mooresville
Police said snow and ice from last week’s storm made it hard to find evidence as they investigated the shooting.
Family members said Alspaugh had a criminal record that included several drug charges, breaking and entering and obtaining property by false pretenses.
Greensboro police say Alspaugh was involved in a fight with several other people before the shooting Friday. He was taken to Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro where he died.
No one has been arrested.
