CASTLETON, Vt. (AP) - Police in Vermont are investigating a head-on crash that killed a woman and injured two children.

Police say the crash happened Wednesday afternoon on Route 4A in Castleton. Authorities say a car driven by 34-year-old Crystal Anderson collided with a community center transport bus driven by Terrance Riley Jr.

Anderson was taken to Rutland Regional Medical Center, where she was later pronounced dead. Police say two 13-year-old children Anderson was driving with were taken to a hospital. The driver of the bus, who was the only occupant, was not injured.

Police have not released the identities of the children, but say they were not Anderson’s children.

Police say speed and “possible intoxicants” may have factored into the crash. An autopsy on Anderson has been ordered.
