HEDGESVILLE, W.Va. (AP) - The West Virginia State Fire Marshal’s Office has identified two people who died in a mobile home fire.
Assistant Fire Marshal Investigation Supervisor George Harms said in a Friday email that 68-year-old Larry Dale and 69-year-old Carolyn Jean Rodgers Rutledge were confirmed as the victims. The Journal reports the fire occurred on Saturday in Hedgesville.
Harms said the cause of the blaze was a kerosene salamander on the outside rear of the trailer.
Harms said the medical examiner’s office will take several days to identify the cause of death.
