Pensacola starter Wyatt Strahan (6-8) went six innings, allowing one run and seven hits to pick up the win. He also struck out three and walked one. Alex Klonowski (5-2) went six innings, allowing three runs and six hits in the Southern League game. He also struck out six and walked three.
Pensacola grabbed a 2-1 lead in the first after Shed Long hit a two-run home run.
After Pensacola added a run in the second on a home run by Aristides Aquino, the BayBears cut into the deficit in the ninth inning when Jose Rojas scored on a forceout.
Aquino homered and singled in the win.
Brandon Sandoval singled four times, also stealing a base for the BayBears.
