RANCHO CUCAMONGA, Calif. (AP) — Logan Landon hit a two-run home run and had three hits, and Tony Gonsolin struck out 11 hitters over five innings as the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes defeated the Lancaster JetHawks 6-1 on Tuesday.
Gonsolin (4-2) allowed one run and three hits while walking two to pick up the win.
Rancho Cucamonga took the lead in the first when Cristian Santana hit a two-run double and then scored on a two-run home run by Landon.
Following the big inning, the JetHawks cut into the deficit in the fourth inning when Brian Serven hit an RBI single, driving in Tyler Nevin.
Brandon Gold (6-6) went five innings, allowing four runs and 10 hits while striking out five in the California League game.
