LAKE ELSINORE, Calif. (AP) — Luis Madero pitched six scoreless innings, leading the Inland Empire 66ers over the Lake Elsinore Storm in a 5-1 win on Tuesday.
Madero (1-0) allowed four hits while striking out four and walking one to get the win.
Inland Empire went up 5-0 in the seventh after Brandon Marsh hit a two-run single and Jo Adell scored on a wild pitch.
Ronald Bolanos (3-6) went six innings, allowing two runs and two hits to take the tough loss in the California League game. He also struck out five and walked four. Jorge Tavarez gave up one run in three innings and recorded his first save of the season.
