As a kid playing baseball, Josh Norman often thought he was Ken Griffey Jr. when he stepped up to the plate.

“Then it didn’t go so hot,” he said.

The Redskins cornerback’s career obviously went a different path, but he was back in the batting cages Sunday. Norman was a participant in MLB’s celebrity  All-Star Game — which took place later that evening.

“This was actually the first sport I played, to be honest with you,” Norman said. “It brings back some memories every time you’ve got a bat in your hand. It’s like riding a bike. But you know they asked me what I’m going to do today. I said I’m going to start out with a low minimum of five home runs.”

Along with Norman, Wizards star John Wall, rapper Wale and celebrity Jamie Foxx were among the celebrities to take part in the action.
