Each NFL team earned $255 million from national revenues last season — a 4.9 percent increase from 2016 — according to public financial records revealed by the Green Bay Packers.

In total, $8.1 billion was distributed. The majority of that money, ESPN reported, came from the league’s television deals.

NFL profits are still soaring despite a number of controversies, including the debate over the league’s national anthem policy.

Packers President Mark Murphy told ESPN the incidents did not “manifest in its books.”

Bloomberg reported the $8.1 billion figure was a revenue record for the NFL. The league made $7.8 billion in 2016.
