Former first lady Michelle Obama and celebrity friends like Tom Hanks have teamed up to turn out the vote during the midterm elections.

Lin-Manuel Miranda, Faith Hill, Tim McGraw and other celebrities are taking part in When We All Vote, a registration drive that includes a “week of action.”

“If we really want our voices to be heard, we need to vote in every election. Not just for president, but for every election,” Mrs. Obama says during the nonprofit’s YouTube spot published Wednesday.

“It’s up to each and every one of us to make sure our government doesn’t just represent a small some — not just the most powerful — but all of us,” Mr. Hanks adds.

Other famous names already turning up on the group’s social media include: Valerie Jarrett, one of former President Barack Obama top advisers; basketball player Chris Paul; and singer Jussie Smollett.
