ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) - Albany’s police chief is officially retiring.
A ceremony is being held at police headquarters on Thursday to mark the end of Chief Robert Sears’s more than 20-year career.
Sears announced his retirement last month.
Mayor Kathy Sheehan has appointed Eric Hawkins of Michigan to lead the 350-member force.
