President Trump tore into the “fake news media” on Tuesday, calling members of the press “unhinged” and suggesting ratings will “dry up” after his term in office.

The president also criticized the media for “the damage they do to so many innocent and decent people.”

Mr. Trump and his administration regularly battle members of the press over criticisms of the president. CNN’s Kaitlin Collins was barred Wednesday from a press event after asking Mr. Trump questions about former Trump lawyer Michael Cohen during a pool spray.

The president accused the media of undermining the U.S. with overwhelmingly negative coverage and ignoring his administration’s achievements, which he said is why “confidence in the media is at an all time low.”
