FLINT, Mich. (AP) - Authorities say they’re investigating the discovery of two bodies in a burning vehicle in Flint as a possible double homicide.

The Flint Fire Department says the burning vehicle was found parked at a vacant home in the city on Friday morning. Battalion Chief Ramsey Clapper tells The Flint Journal that the fire spread to a garage of the home, but it was quickly extinguished.

Michigan State Police Lt. Dave Kaiser tells WNEM-TV that the investigation is being handled as a homicide case.

Cause of death wasn’t immediately determined due to the condition of the bodies and authorities were working to determine the identities of the dead.

Flint is about 50 miles (80 kilometers) northwest of Detroit.
