JAMESTOWN, N.D. (AP) - Authorities say two people are in custody after leading police on a pursuit in Jamestown.
Lt. Sid Mann says an officer tried to stop a car without its lights on about midnight Thursday. Mann says the driver took off instead of pulling over. The driver was pursued through city streets at speeds reaching 60 to 80 mph.
KQDJ reports police used spike strips to try to stop the car, but it eventually crashed into a tree in Feton Park. The driver fled on foot, but was apprehended a short time later.
Police say a passenger in the vehicle was arrested for possessing drug paraphernalia.
